A care home order has become the second £90,000 project to take share from Sanceram in a matter of weeks.
Brookvale Care Home in Solihull is being built by main contractors Speller Metcalfe Ltd on behalf of Solihull Borough Council, with product being supplied by City Plumbing Supplies in Lichfield.
The Sanceram specification was broken by Field Sales Manager Steve Parker and the project is now being seen through by Specification Manager Nick Willis. The full specification is now Armitage Shanks.
It includes Contour 21 shower mixer taps, Nisa steel baths and Contour 21+ basin taps, as well as Sandringham toilets and Contour 21 support rails and grab rails.
Steve said: “This was all achieved through close relationships between the plumber, the merchant and ourselves, and that continued up the chain to the people who were responsible for deciding on the spec.
“We did a few proposals to get the price and the spec in the right place and this a result of getting the right feedback at the right time, so we could tweak our offering.”
Solihull Borough Council have a history of specifying sanitary ware from The Sanitary Ware Company – whose own brand is Sanceram – on all of its projects.
Following this care home win, Nick has made some inroads with the Council and is now in the process of converting their education specifications from The Sanitary Ware Company to Armitage Shanks.
This order comes hot on the heels of a win from Sanceram in the Barony Campus project in Ayrshire.
