A new and improved service proposition for Plumbase customers has been made possible through our relationship with distributor Smiths-Briten.
Deliveries to Plumbase’s 160 showrooms and branches are now available on a next-day service where previously they were only made once or twice a week on set dates, direct from our warehouse.
This meant that if a customer wanted to order an Ideal Standard bathroom before the set delivery day, we were unable to fulfil that need.
The arrival of Smiths-Briten as a new distribution partner to Ideal Standard last year created the opportunity to improve our speed of service to the Plumbase network. Both are part of the Grafton Group.
Key Accounts Managers Dean Annetts and Nicky Betts have put together a showroom product portfolio which is stocked in Smiths-Briten to ensure a next day service is available.

Nicky said: “Our service proposition to this large showroom network has made it challenging to grow at the pace both businesses would like.
“With this new service proposition now in place, we are confident this will grow sales for ourselves, Plumbase and Smiths-Briten.”
