A refurbishment project with one of the north east’s largest contractors has seen Ideal Standard taking share from Duravit while at the same time fending off Delabie.
Trinity Gardens is a prime office location in Newcastle, occupied by a number of well-known brands including Deloitte and Royal Bank of Scotland.
Contractor HLA will be installing 77 sets of ProSys cisterns and plates with Edit L pans, taking share from Duravit, plus Sensorfow E spouts to protect against threat from Delabie.
Specification Manager Darron Brown said: “Three contractors were in the running at tender stage and the spec was Duravit.
“Alex Hooley spoke to the merchant and Steve Parker, me and Mustafa Rahman were involved in speaking to the contractors.
“An alternative spec was offered which included ProSys products and we were able to price at a level that got all contractors on board with the spec.
“Once there was a clear, successful contractor on the project – HLA Services Ltd – we then confirmed the final spec detail and price. An order was then placed with Neville Lumb.
“Very much a great story of teamwork.”
