Three colleagues have been named winners of the Bathroom Association’s 30 Under 30 Awards, recognising the achievements of young professionals making their mark on the industry.
Dominic Walton, Mat Edwards and Tayla Dolman have each taken on new challenges and made a significant contribution to the business, from improving team performance and developing customer relationships to driving growth in new markets.
Dominic Walton
Since joining Villeroy & Boch in 2023 as an aftersales coordinator, Dom has shown remarkable ambition, adaptability and drive. He quickly became a go-to colleague across both VC and Brassware, and was promoted to non-residential team leader just over a year later. In that role, he built strong relationships with customers and the external sales team, played a key part in rolling out our new systems, and became our in-house expert on reports and dashboards. More recently, Dom took on a six-month secondment as regional account manager in Trade Sales, where he exceeded targets within his first few weeks and earned praise from a director at one of our key customers, who called him a “breath of fresh air”. Dom’s professionalism, work ethic and commitment to those around him make him a credit to the business.
Mat Edwards
Mat joined on a summer placement in July 2022 within the order fulfilment team and was appointed team leader in September 2023. He has since improved the team’s ways of working, including a SharePoint hub that gives quick access to key tools, and built a supportive, results-driven environment. He has strengthened relationships with key customers, helping us win more contracts, achieved a distinction in his Level Three Team Leader Apprenticeship, and recently introduced AI-driven reporting that boosts productivity. Mat leads without seeking recognition and has earned the huge respect of his colleagues.
Tayla Dolman
After two successful years in our residential team, Tayla moved into the newly created role of sales manager for Hotels and Hospitality in April this year. In just three months, Tayla has grown our UK hotel pipeline by £2.2m, an 18% increase, bringing real focus to a market that suits our product portfolio and sales structure perfectly. Acting as the conductor of hotel projects for our UK business, Tayla has built close relationships with key merchants, investors and hotel groups, and is aware of the important role each one plays. Tayla’s interior architecture degree is a real strength, enabling confident conversations with project design teams about design intent, backed by deep bathroom knowledge.
UK Managing Director Lisa Whitfield said: “Dom, Mat and Tayla have built strong relationships with customers, taken on new challenges with confidence and made a real difference to their teams and to our business.
“Whether it’s driving sales growth, improving ways of working or supporting colleagues beyond what’s expected, all three are shining examples of ambition, collaboration and commitment.”
