Ideal Standard is to play a key role in helping to shape the future of the plumbing sector through its membership of a prominent industry organisation.
Industry Ambassador John Robinson has been invited to sit on the Industry Associate group of the CIPHE (Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering), one of only three non-CIPHE people on the six-person group.
The other members are Richard Soper, Paul Massey and Tim Sainty of CIPHE, Calvin Pope of Bell Plumbing Supplies and Graham Russell of Viessmann.
At its first meeting this month, the group began a project on developing a younger workforce in the plumbing and heating industry. This includes improving relations and developing a strategic plan for the CIPHE, which has 7,500 members.

John said: “I was delighted to be asked to join this CIPHE group, which puts us at the forefront of developing the future of the industry.
“It also sends an important message that we are recognised as a key player in the industry, with the knowledge and expertise to help drive this important initiative.”

The group is scheduled to report back on its recommendations for developing a younger workforce by the end of the year.
