Colleagues from across the UK Trade Team have returned from an immersive visit to Mettlach, gaining first-hand insight into the heritage, craftsmanship and product innovation behind Villeroy & Boch.
The trip was designed to deepen understanding of the brand and strengthen the team’s ability to communicate its story to customers.
Over the course of several days, attendees explored the company’s history, values and product offering, with a focus on identifying opportunities to support growth within the UK trade sector.
A visit to the Villeroy & Boch museum provided a strong introduction to the brand’s heritage, complemented by a factory tour which offered a behind-the-scenes look at manufacturing processes and quality standards.
One of the standout moments for many was the flush testing facility, which demonstrated the performance and engineering behind the products.
The group also spent time in the showroom, gaining a broader understanding of the combined Villeroy & Boch and Ideal Standard portfolios, helping to reinforce the breadth and quality of the overall offering.
Among those who attended were Alex Hooley, Liam Pryszlak, Mike Klodzinski, Andrew Long and Dave Hardy, alongside Regional Account Managers Kallum Keeley, James Bishop, Gemma Reynolds, Dominic Walton and Alex Kettle.
Channel Director Alex Hooley said: “Having the full team attend made the experience even more impactful, ensuring everyone can confidently retell the brand story and translate it into meaningful conversations with the customers.
“The visit highlighted clear opportunities with the trade sector, helping the team better position the range and identify areas of growth.”
He added: “This trip also acted as a valuable dry run for upcoming customer events, with planned trips with Neville Lumb in May and City Plumbing in June.
“By bringing colleagues and customers into the heart of Villeroy & Boch, we can truly understand and showcase the quality, heritage and opportunities the brand represents.”
