A team of Ideal Standard colleagues have visited their counterparts from Villeroy & Boch as part of the integration of the two companies.
Chris Pearson, Chris Barley, Steven Wilkinson, Matt Bell, Ash Burtoft, Jason Cadman and Gerard Crane headed over to Mettlach in the Saarland region of south west Germany for product training and to soak up the atmosphere at the historic headquarters.
This included learning about Villery & Boch’s bathing and wellness portfolio, with the intention of supporting UK Ideal Standard colleagues as they learn about their products during their roll-out from January.
Chris Pearson said: “It was nice to see the headquarters and start to get an understanding of the brand and what they are all about. It was very impressive. They have really been caretakers of this historic establishment and are proud of who they are.”
He added: “There are a lot of similarities between our businesses, which was nice to see. We both have history going back hundreds of years and have so much skill and expertise.”
