An online training package aimed at increasing sales through B&Q is being rolled out to staff across the company.
Delivered via Microsoft Teams to increase ease of engagement and therefore reach more colleagues, the deck has been tailored to raise awareness of key selling points of our products relevant to B&Q ranges.
Highlights include the ProSys in-wall frame, Aquablade toilets, Tesi shower bath features and local manufacture. A Kahoot quiz is included at the end to increase engagement.
Christos Zaranis, Key Account Manager – DIY, said: “Ensuring B&Q staff have good knowledge of our products is essential in order to give them the confidence to suggest our brand to shoppers.
“When a customer is in store and either looking for bathroom products or selecting them for design and installation, staff are likely to recommend products that they understand, and which are fresh in their minds.
“We have delivered the first session and had positive feedback from store colleagues. Future sessions are now scheduled on a monthly basis.”
The development of the training package is part of our strategy to increase our presence in the DIY sector, which has included re-engaging with Homebase and rolling out Tesi roomsets across 130 B&Q stores nationwide.
