A quick turnaround project has demonstrated the value of impressing customers in major developments.
A refurbishment project at Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton worth £134,000 with a strong margin has followed Armitage Shanks’ specification in a major development in the hospital in 2019.
The latest project moved fast, with the first enquiry arriving in January and due to the long-standing relationship with the NHS Trust our products were fully specified.
This included 65 Contour 21+ clinical and 26 40cm basins, all with Markwik 21+ mixers, plus janitorial units and Dee and Leven slop hoppers, all with the associated fittings.
The project was secured by main contractor Willmott Dixon Interiors and the order was placed through City Plumbing in Eastbourne.

Specification Manager Harvey Chapman said: “This project shows the value of impressing customers in everything we do so our products are written into the specification and become fixed.
"The credit goes to the team who worked on the original major redevelopment scheme known as 3Ts in 2019.
“If the groundwork has been done to a high standard and the customer has seen the quality of our products then it’s very likely future projects will follow.”
