The Ireland Team has secured a €322,000 full bathroom specification for the prestigious Horgan’s Quay development in Cork City through strong partnerships with the main contractor BAM and our trusted merchant partner MHI Ireland.
The development spans six acres along the River Lee and includes 325 new apartments alongside offices, leisure facilities, shops and restaurants.
Despite the initial specification not featuring Ideal Standard products at all, our team worked diligently with BAM and MHI to demonstrate the quality and versatility of our portfolio.

Overcoming significant competition and numerous design revisions, our Residential Manager Ronan Mythen and Channel Director Gerard Crane saw the proposal through to a win.
The specification now includes our i.life B toilets, i.life A washbasins, Calista and Ceratherm fittings, Connect shower enclosures and bath screens, and Sandringham steel baths.

Ronan said: “We’ve built on the relationship with MHI and BAM across a number of large projects over recent years.
“They are big supporters of our brand and products, and that stood to us in the end. This was a long process, and we fought off considerable pressure from our competitors in the area.
“It sends a serious message to the Cork region. This is a project which we have had in the pipeline since the middle of 2021, so it is with great pleasure that we see it coming to fruition now.”

Gerard added: “We have a strong relationship with MHI, who are owned by BAM, hence the strength of the relationship that helped us secure this particular project.
“This is a major win for the residential team which sees us go from strength to strength in the Irish market, which we are benefitting from because of the increased need for housing.
“It has been a great joint effort by the team.”
