Armitage Shanks has secured an order for 16 Silk Black Doc M packs for an office refurbishment at 45 Waterloo Street in Glasgow, creating further opportunities to replace competitor specifications across CBRE’s UK office portfolio.

The original specification featured Dolphin products but our client CBRE and main contractor GM Projects were open to alternatives.
Neville Lumb responded quickly with a proposal for our Silk Black Doc M packs, which was accepted.

The success has already led to CBRE and GM Projects reviewing specifications across the country.
Instructions have been received for the Edinburgh office at Exchange Place to adopt the revised Glasgow specification, with the same products also set to be offered on future CBRE office fit-outs.

Specification Manager Darron Brown said: “This is a great example of how working closely with our partners and responding quickly to value engineering opportunities can open doors for us.
“What began as an opportunity to replace a competitor’s specification in Glasgow has the potential to influence projects across CBRE’s wider office portfolio.”

He added: “With an estimated three to four office fit-outs a year, this could generate significant additional business over the next 24 months, including around 60 to 80 Doc M packs and several hundred grab rails.
“There is also interest in reviewing shower specifications, which could create further opportunities as our range develops.”
