A £150,000 taking share win has been secured for the new HMRC office development at Pilgrims Quarter, a prominent location in the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne.
The project will become the new home of HM Revenue & Customs, underlining the strength of the Armitage Shanks brand within the public sector.

The scheme was originally specified with a competitor solution from Dolphin during tender submissions.
However, an alternative Armitage Shanks proposal was developed by Specification Manager Natalie Skinner, who worked closely with Derry Building Services, one of our key partnering M&E contractors, to successfully secure the project.

The final specification includes Concept Freedom WCs and Concept wall-hung WCs, both with Oleas flushplates, as well as ProSys in-wall frames, Doc M packs with stainless steel rails and Sensorflow brassware.

Key Account Manager Liam Ansell said: “This is a really strong result for Armitage Shanks. Securing a high-value project with a major government department, in such a prominent Newcastle location, is a great endorsement.
“Credit goes to Natalie for developing an alternative specification and working closely with Derry Building Services to take share from a well-established competitor.”
