Tell us a bit about yourself
I am a massive football fan – Wolves in particular, and I have been that way for 20 years – since I was born. I have a season ticket there to attend all the home games. Not just football though, as I have recently taken a massive interest in golf, which does worry me a little bit as that shows I’m really starting to get older now and leaving my youth behind me. I like to think of myself as someone who doesn’t take life too seriously and will always try and be in a upbeat mood – even in the winter!

Describe your job to a five-year-old
I tap buttons on the computer so that you can have toilets in your home

What do you like most about your job?
Learning the processes of how much actually goes into work so that people can do their business in luxury.

How did you get here?
I started off at 16 years old working in a pub, alongside being at sixth form. I then moved to working in a café, in which I stayed for two years, which I really enjoyed as I got free hot chocolate and free food there, good food too – sausage rolls, pasties, cakes etc. After the café, I had a brief spell at Tesco, in which I was only there for a month as I was a Christmas temp to help out over the busy festive period. Then my final job before ending up at this wonderful place was again another job in a shop called Heron Foods. I was there for just over a year and I really enjoyed my time there, however I decided to leave as this opportunity that I’m currently in was too good to turn down.

What motivates you?
Wanting a career really motivates me. I would one day like a family as well, so that motivates me to really want to do well. And of course, Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club motivates me. Knowing that if I want to enjoy those moments at Wolves, I must be incredibly motivated to do well.

If you could swap jobs with anyone, who would it be?
Any third-choice goalkeeper in football. They get paid thousands and thousands per week to just play football in training and then watch their team on the weekend. Half of their job I do all the time anyways – watching football games!

Your favourite song lyric or line from a film
Any lyric from Sabrina Carpenter.

Your favourite app?
Twitter (now known as X) as that’s where I see all the latest football news.

Biggest facepalm moment at work?
Whilst working at Heron Foods, I was at the top of the first aisle, and the door for customers to come in and out of was at the bottom of the aisle. So, as a customer was walking out the door, they shouted goodbye and waved in my direction, so I shouted goodbye and waved back, as you do. However, as I shouted goodbye, a customer in front of me also shouted goodbye and waved, meaning the customer that was leaving the shop was in fact shouting goodbye to someone else (presumably their friend they had already spoken to whilst doing their shopping) who was down the same aisle as me, rather than me. That was, indeed, a big facepalm moment for myself.
