A £112,000 specification package for a new education project has been secured through a long-standing relationship with contractor Bowmer & Kirkland, architect Jestico + Whiles, and M&E contractor Derry Building Services.
The Northumberland College scheme in Ashington, north of Newcastle, builds on work undertaken several years ago with Bowmer & Kirkland and Jestico + Whiles to develop a generic education specification proposal designed for use across future education schemes.
That specification approach was implemented on this latest project, helping to streamline product selection and ensure consistency across the development.
Products installed on the project include Armitage Shanks Sandringham back-to-wall WCs, Splash basins, Avon brassware, Doc M packs and Birch cleaner sinks.
Key Account Manager Liam Ansell said: “This project is a great example of how long-term relationships and early collaboration can lead to successful outcomes for everyone involved.
“We worked closely with Bowmer & Kirkland and Jestico + Whiles a number of years ago to develop a generic education specification that could be carried forward into future projects, and it’s rewarding to see that work continuing to deliver results.”
He added: “We also have a very strong relationship with Derry Building Services, who have supported our business for many years.
“Having the right partners throughout the supply chain meant this project was a very good fit from the outset.”
