A new way of communicating important new product introductions (NPIs) is being rolled out to ensure colleagues stay informed pre and post launch.
The aim is to cut through the number of emails people receive by streamlining and enhancing the way key strategic NPIs are communicated across the business.

The shift toward a more visual communication style is already underway, with internal emails now featuring images and links to essential resources, such as the NPI hub and external promotion materials.
By highlighting the most important points – such as what’s being launched, available marketing and sales support, and when products will be available – the new format makes it easier for everyone to quickly digest the facts.
The new format also features analytics which shows which content is more popular and working well in order to inform future improvements.

On behalf of the marketing and product teams, Trade Marketing Specialist Tom Nash said: “We’re focusing on making the information clear and actionable. You’ll know exactly where to find what you need, whether it’s in the DAM, NPI hub or our training resources on SharePoint.”

This more concise, visual communication will be consistent throughout the NPI lifecycle, covering pre-launch, launch and post-launch updates.
It will complement ongoing efforts like the monthly NPI roadmap shared by product managers and the quarterly reports that are now sent to customers.

The product and marketing teams are also eager to hear feedback on how these changes are received.
“We want this to be as engaging and useful as possible,” said Tom. “If anyone has suggestions, we’d love to hear from them.”
