Prizes are now up for grabs every month for the best social media posts using Ideal Standard hashtags.
We are encouraging colleagues to post about their working life to show what it’s like to be employed here in a visual way and to create a sense of community in the business.
It aims to use social media – primarily LinkedIn – to show real colleagues in genuine situations posting on their own accounts, whether it’s a corporate event, cakes for someone’s birthday or even an interesting meeting! Posts should include both hashtags #lifeatidealstandard and #weareideal.
Every month the best posts will be featured in The Bubble and a winner chosen to receive a prize.
Recruitment Manager Viv Pearsons said: “Social media is crucial to attracting the right candidates in today’s jobs market and communicating what it’s like to work here is one way we want to achieve this.
“These best way to do this is for our own people to show what they are doing in their daily working lives and we are looking to introduce a little healthy competition to encourage more of this.”
A recent survey found that more than 90% of companies use social media in their recruitment and 80% of candidates search employee-generated content to understand a business’ culture and what it’s really like to work at a company.
The kinds of moments that colleagues are encouraged to capture include spontaneous events, special office moments, volunteering, work in progress, awards and product launches, focusing on the people rather than the product. Even meetings can be included if they’re interesting and visual!
The new Social Media Policy gives clear and sensible guidelines around what to post and what not to post, including positive messages about life at Ideal Standard, checking your background for sensitive or confidential information, and avoiding anything defamatory.
