Team leaders from Business Support are celebrating the completion of a highly respected qualification.
The group of five – Emily Butler, Ashley Burtoft, Holly Simmons, Terri Walker and Jane Beck – now hold the Level Two Diploma in Team Leading, accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM).
Serena Dockerill, Training Leader – Business Support, said: “We worked with HR to organise a training opportunity for our new and existing team leaders as part of the Business Support personal development and talent programme.
“The course has provided the team with the confidence to develop as leaders and the skills to successfully lead a team, with three of them already progressing within the company since completing the qualification.”
The qualification saw us collaborate with Telford College to offer a course providing the team with a nationally recognised qualification and an opportunity to upskill and support their management careers.
An assessor from the college visited the Armitage site every four to six weeks over a 15-month period and provided supportive learning in both group and one-to-one sessions to complete 11 core modules.
All training is recorded on the Business Support talent census to ensure training is offered for everyone in the team.
