Dear Colleagues,
Welcome back to The Bubble. In the six months since we last published, it feels as though the world has been flipped upside down and it is only in the past few weeks that we have started to return to something approaching normality.
The Bubble is all about sharing information that helps people from different parts of Ideal Standard to understand what is happening elsewhere in the business. One of its main purposes, though, is to celebrate the amazing work that goes on in our company.
Despite the challenging few months that we have all experienced together there is loads to celebrate. We should all be proud of the way we pulled together and continue to pull together to deliver some incredible work to generate sales and keep each other going in what are still some of the most challenging circumstances that this business has faced in recent years.
This edition of The Bubble – the largest since we first published two years ago – is full of stories like that: our growth in online and DIY because of “the lockdown effect”, the success of our focus on small projects and the fun sessions on Microsoft Teams which helped to keep you connected.
As I said in my back to work email of 19 August, I am confident that the worst is behind us from a business perspective and we must now plan for the future. As we put these plans into action, I am looking forward to reading more stories of innovation and success as you respond to the challenges in front of you, as you always do.
