Preparations are being made for this year’s Little Van of Big Ideas campaign, which will see our products touring the country from June to October.
Business support, sales and marketing colleagues are busy making appointments with developers, architects and merchants throughout the UK as the tour itinerary is pulled together.
This year’s campaign is primarily targeting regional housebuilders – in line with our UK business strategy – including medium-sized businesses building more than 100 units per year and smaller ones with fewer than 100.
Though the Ideal Standard brand is strong in the big national developers, we deal with less than half of the estimated 1,200 regional housebuilders in the UK.
Sector Marketing Executive Ash Smith, who is organising the tour, said: “Last year was the first tour for the Little Van of Big Ideas and it brought £1.8m of new business into the pipeline.
“We are confident that we can build on this in 2019, using the knowledge we gained and the lessons we learned last year to make this even more effective and secure a significant return on investment in terms of future orders and new clients.”

Meanwhile, the 2018 campaign has been immortalised thanks to Google Streetview. An eagle-eyed customer spotted the van outside the Plumb Center showroom in Green Street, Ayr, with Dave Buchanan from our sales team nearby!
