Two new appointments are being made to the sales team to support the growth strategy for our Sottini brand this year.
The development of Sottini as our leading brand in retail markets is one of the key new elements of the UK business’ strategy for 2019 and 2020.
Two Retail Sales Managers – one each for the north and south of the UK – are being recruited to support this approach.
With 30 years’ experience in the bathroom industry, Gary Major (pictured above) has taken up his role covering the south and an appointment for the north is expected to be made imminently.
Gary said: “My role initially is looking at the proposition we currently have, working with the team to help restructure that offering then to present it into the market place and get some key existing – as well as new – trading partners on board and behind the brand.
“We will have real focus on getting Sottini product building again in the market with our partner dealers and consumers alike.”
He added: “My initial view is really positive. I’ve spoken to five potential partners today and they have all invited us in for meetings to discuss with them directly.
“There is, from my initial conversations, a lot of knowledge, history and goodwill with the Sottini brand and with new concentration on the brand “package” we will put ourselves in a good position to move forward.”
Gary has worked in the industry for 30 years, owning and operating a retail bathroom and kitchen showroom in Swindon for the past decade and prior to that working for UK Bathroom Warehouse and as commercial manager for Heritage Bathrooms
