John Robinson, Non-Executive Director UK, has been appointed as part of the presidential team to the Bathroom Manufacturers Association (BMA).
As second Vice President, John will work alongside President Alan Dodds from Roca UK and first Vice President Nick McGrellis of Croydex Limited for the two-year term.
The appointments were confirmed at the Annual General Meeting of the BMA, which represents the industry and lobbies government and water industry regulators.
John, who has worked for Ideal Standard for 31 years, stepped down from the company’s Executive Board earlier this year to take on a part-time industry ambassador role in order to build and maintain key relationships with industry bodies.
He said: “We need to leverage our position as the biggest manufacturer in the UK. We can only do this by being involved in leading this organisation and that is what I am doing.”
John was recently presented with a signed Irish football shirt by bathroom retailer Davies, which has two showrooms in Dublin. He is pictured above with staff from Davies, who wanted to wish him well in his new role.
