Tank Cell Engineer Dave Vernon has taken part in a huge annual charity motorbike ride with his two sons.
Dave, along with elder son Jay, a trainee engineering lecturer, and younger son Todd, an engineering apprentice at JCB, took part in the Ride To The Wall, which sees 20,000 bikers head to the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire.
The event, which has taken place on the first Saturday of October for the past 12 years, involves thousands of motorcyclists from around the UK who come together to remember the 16,000 service men and women whose names are engraved on the walls of the Armed Forces Memorial.

Dave said: “This is a massive event that I am pleased to take part in every year and a good excuse to put on my leather trousers.
“The Arboretum is a very special place and I’m proud to be part of something which has raised nearly £1million over the years towards its running costs.”

Every year, funds raised by the event are gifted to the Arboretum to support the £4,000 per day running costs.
To date over £941,000 has been raised by the event, which is open to both motorcyclists and non-motorcyclists, families and friends.
