A £238,000 full specification is being installed in one of London’s biggest urban regeneration projects. Gascoigne Estate Phase 3B is part of a 20-year programme in Barking and Dagenham which aims to create 50,000 new homes and 20,000 new jobs.
The local authority has established its own regeneration company, Be First, to lead the overall scheme, with main contractor Wates working on this element of it and Offsite Solutions installing the bathrooms. The specification features a steel bath, which is often used in London, Connect 2 bath screen, Ceraline bath filler, Tesi wall hung toilet, Conceala cistern and Connect Air semi countertop basin.
Steve Young, Key Account Manager – London (High Rise Residential), said: “The whole Barking and Dagenham project is huge so there are obviously lots of opportunities there for manufacturers who provide high quality products and excellent service.
“The specification came from Be First so for me it was a matter of staying close to the main contractor and Installer during the tendering and ordering process, ensuring the specification stayed with us and helping to make sure everything went smoothly.”
