Our first project with Ramac Holdings has been secured despite efforts from competitors and installers to overturn the original specification.
The initial order for phase two of the Willowbank development in Kent covers 33 units, with a value of approximately £50,000, forming the first stage of a wider 100-unit scheme.
Despite approaches from competitors offering lower-cost alternatives, and attempts by installers to value engineer the specification, the agreed Ideal Standard specification has been retained in full.
This success is the result of sustained engagement by Specification Manager Louise Vedat, who has worked closely with the developer over a two-year period.
By maintaining regular site visits and building strong relationships with Ramac’s senior team, Louise ensured Ideal Standard remained the preferred partner throughout the decision-making process.
Products specified include Connect Air toilets and basins, Ceraline taps, Ceratherm showers, Tesi baths and i.life A toilets.
She said: “This project is a great example of the value of staying close to a development and working in partnership rather than competing on price alone.
“By focusing on service, consistency and trust, we’ve been able to protect the specification and secure our first project with Ramac Holdings, with further phases already under discussion.”
Further phases of the Willowbank development are planned for completion through 2026 and 2027, with discussions underway to secure the remaining units and retain the specification across the full scheme.
