Persistent, old-fashioned sales prospecting and a fantastic team effort have secured a new client with potential pipeline worth millions of pounds.
Specification Manager, South Louise Vedat secured the opportunity with Kent-based Sunningdale House Developments, taking share from Roca.
Louise began trying to make contact in autumn 2021, approaching one of the directors through LinkedIn, unsuccessfully at first.
However, repeated enquiries led to a meeting between Louise, Regional Team Lead – South Joe Munday and Sunningdale’s Jessica Boyton, who looks after their sanitaryware specification and who wasn’t receiving support with specifying from the current supplier.
They were offered opportunity to put forward a test specification for the luxury apartment development Sandgate Pavilions in Encombe, with a week to put forward a proposal and service proposition.
Louise called in support from Bid Team Leader Elizabeth Swann and Yiota Toumba, Senior Designer at the London Design and Specification Centre who pulled together to deliver a proposal which secured the opportunity draw up a live specification for the Plover Road scheme in Minster On Sea.
The first order for this project has now been received through MKM, for a full bathroom which includes Atelier Conca brassware and fittings.
Louise said: “This was a fantastic team effort and Elizabeth and Yiota did a brilliant job of turning the proposal and CGIs round in just one week so I could take them to the developer and impress them with what we can deliver.
“The relationship with Sunningdale has since grown from strength to strength and I have expanded my contacts, ensuring I have engaged with multiple key players within the business, including the MD.
“They have a very strong pipeline of developments for the coming years so we are hoping this is the beginning of a very positive relationship with a forward-thinking and growing developer.”
Sunningdale’s current pipeline consists of projects delivering well over 1,000 units, some of which are luxury homes which are likely to feature products from our Atelier Collections.
