An Ideal Standard “eco-spec” has made it onto the specification of a developer aiming to grow its sustainable homes business.
Häuser is an offshoot of the regional developer Heywood Homes, which specialises in developments that are more eco-friendly.
More than a year’s worth of work by Specification Manager Mustafa Rahman has got the specification over the line for a 32-home development in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire.
The full specification includes i.life S toilet, basin and vanity unit with Cerabase brassware and Alu+ showers.

Mustafa said: “They were impressed with the sustainability aspects of our products, such as the water-saving RimLS+ flush in the toilets, the BlueStart technology on the taps, the responsible sourcing of the wood in the furniture and the recycled materials used in Alu+.
“So we are in the development in Holmfirth and Häuser’s future developments too, which is great in itself. However, we also have an eco-spec ready to use whenever the opportunity comes up.”

The first order for the show homes is now in and will be followed shortly by the rest of the development.
