Ideal Standard has renewed the role of renowned architect and designer Roberto Palomba as Chief Design Officer – a position he has held since 2018.
Working with his Milan-based studio, Palomba Serafini Associati, Roberto has been the creative lead behind some of Ideal Standard’s most recognisable ranges of recent years, including the award-winning Atelier Collections and the accessible i.life suites.
Since joining Ideal Standard, Roberto has helped shape the brand’s modern design direction, taking inspiration from our long heritage while responding to the needs of today’s customers.
Now one of Villeroy & Boch Group’s three Bathing and Wellness Brands, Ideal Standard is entering a new phase of growth, supported by the Group’s wider innovation and manufacturing capabilities.
Roberto said: “I’ve always believed that good design should be a right, not a luxury. My goal is to create high-quality objects that are accessible to a broad audience – a philosophy that has always been part of Ideal Standard’s culture.”
Sven Ullrich, Executive Vice President Marketing, R&D and Product Management at Villeroy & Boch Group, added: “Roberto’s creative leadership and deep understanding of the bathroom space have been key in shaping Ideal Standard’s identity.
“We’re delighted that he will continue to play an important role in driving the brand’s growth and success.”
