The latest Ideal Standard Talent Programme has concluded, with thirty colleagues from across the business developing their knowledge of their own skills, leadership and business.
The third and final module was held at Aston Hall Hotel in Retford, Nottinghamshire, led by Tracy Roberts and Spencer Locker from Hull-based people performance experts Trans2Performance.
The participants were from all areas of the business, creating an environment to build strong cross functional networks and develop from each other’s experiences.
The first module focussed on self awareness while module two covered leadership and developing quality high performing teams, with the final one focusing on developing business knowledge.
Matt Bell, Northern Regional Sales Manager – Retail, said: “The talent programme as a whole has been a huge success and I personally feel that I have benefited greatly from it. The final module covered the different ways to manage and lead a team which was useful because we have so many different personalities within the organisation and it’s valuable to learn the different ways to get the most out of each person. I will take what I’ve learned and use it throughout my career at Ideal Standard.”
Central Planner – SOIP Adrian Day said: “This was a fantastic experience to understand the inner workings and intricacies of a team – and myself! – to take this knowledge and ultimately contribute to the overall organisation.”
Sabrina Wells-Burr, Commercial Finance Business Partner – Residential and Nationals, said: “The talent programme has been an incredibly useful and insightful experience. It was designed to help individuals identify their talents and strengths through a series of workshops, exercises and interactive sessions that helped us explore various aspects of ourselves, from communication skills to our creative thinking abilities.
"We were by no means sitting in a circle and holding hands but I do think we learnt a lot about each other through our shared experiences which will ultimately lead to better working relationships. Tracey, our facilitator, was very knowledgeable and engaging, and created a welcoming and inclusive environment that encouraged us to learn and grow.”
