Marathon runner Adrian Maj is this year taking on two charity challenges to raise much-needed funds for Nerve Tumours UK
Adrian, who works in the Armitage plant, has raised more than £20,000 for nerve tumour charities by running the London Marathon for seven consecutive years.
This year he will be taking part in the marathon on April 23 and also taking part in a 100-mile bike race on May 28.
He takes part in the charity fundraisers because his niece has a potentially debilitating neurological condition called neurofibromatosis.

Adrian said: “This will be my eighth trip from Greenwich to Buckingham Palace, and it’s just as important as the first. Also, on this one occasion, I’ll be participating in the London to Essex 100-mile bike race.
“A member of my family has NF1, and I’m invested in helping the charity that supports people who suffer from this little-known condition.
“I’m supporting Nerve Tumours UK because their mission means a great deal to me. They provide crucial support to people living with the Neurofibromatoses – the conditions that cause nerve tumours.

Adrian’s fundraising this year has been supported by a donation from our Armitage Thanks fund. If you would like to apply for support for your charity fundraiser, contact Jenny Wilson Smith.
