Marketing Services Executive Melissa Wilson recently married her childhood sweetheart Andy at an idyllic venue in south west France.
The couple, who met in school aged 17, tied the knot in the village of Pillac in a former Cognac distillery called Manoir de Longeveau.
They chose to wed there after falling in love with France during their first holiday together, inter-railing around the country when they were 18.
Mel and Andy, an RAF officer based in Lincolnshire, were at the venue for four days with friends and family, with 80 guests travelling over from the UK for the wedding itself.
The couple honeymooned in Langdale, Lake District, straight after France.

Mel said: “The weather really held out for us, with highs of 30 degrees on the day itself. It really is true what they say about it passing so quickly – I was gutted when it was all over!
“On the honeymoon, we did the Langdale Pikes as well as Lingmoor Fell. After four days of madness in France it was definitely a welcome peaceful four days.”
