Villeroy & Boch has introduced La Boule Kyoto, the latest evolution of our iconic dining and lifestyle product, continuing a design legacy that began more than 50 years ago.
Originally created in 1971 by Helen von Boch, La Boule transformed traditional tableware into a sculptural design object, combining timeless aesthetics with exceptional craftsmanship.

Inspired by Japanese culture, the new La Boule Kyoto reflects themes of harmony, balance and beauty.
Featuring a refined palette of warm beige, deep red, dark blue and vibrant orange, the design incorporates geometric patterns and cranes – symbols of happiness, harmony and longevity – alongside references to traditional kimono designs.

“La Boule Kyoto is more than just an iconic product. It is an expression of balance, harmony and timeless elegance for modern living,” said Claudia Knaupp, Executive Vice President Marketing Dining & Lifestyle and Global Branding at Villeroy & Boch.

When assembled, La Boule Kyoto creates a striking centrepiece; when separated, it becomes a seven-piece tableware set for two, crafted from premium porcelain made in Germany.
