The transformation of one of Birmingham’s best-known hotels is now underway, with a full bathroom specification by Ideal Standard worth £213,000.
The Royal Angus Hotel is being redeveloped by Colmore Tang Construction from a three star hotel into a luxury four star aparthotel.
The specification includes more than 160 each of Ceratherm T25 showers, Ceraline basin mixers and Oleas flush plates, all in Silk Black, contrasting with Concept toilets and Connect Air vanity basins and units in white. It also features the same quantity of ProSys wall-mounted toilet frames.

Key Account Manager Ash Burtoft said: “We have worked very closely with the owner of Colmore Tang and the interior designers AJ&Co to ensure the hotel maintained its luxury feel while being constantly conscious of maintaining price point.
“We’ve picked up the full specification, including WCs, in-wall frames, flush plates, furniture, basins, taps, and all showering items, including trays, enclosures and screens. We have also secured all accessories.
“As well as the large quantities in the spec, it’s also brilliant to see our Silk Black finish being installed in real-world projects and to see developers following our designers’ suggestions of setting these off with more traditional, pure white sanitaryware.”
