A corporate day with a difference gave Steven Wilkinson the opportunity to develop our relationship with a key customer while supporting their sustainability efforts.
The residential key accounts manager joined staff from Lovell Partnerships, part of the Morgan Sindall Group, and others from their supply chain for a day of tree planting in the stunning grounds of Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire.
Lovell have committed to achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2030. As part of this campaign, Morgan Sindall and Blenheim Estate have partnered to create nine new woodlands, planting more than a quarter of a million trees. The woodlands will also act as a carbon sink, sequestering 22,000 tonnes of CO2 over the next 25 years.
Steven (pictured, far left) said: “Lovell are the biggest key account for our residential channel outside of the national house builders and as part of the Morgan Sindall Group they are hugely into the sustainability message.
“This environmental day saw a number of suppliers supporting their work and was a great way to give something back to the business while supporting sustainability, which is obviously hugely important to Ideal Standard too.”
The day consisted of a walk and talk on the 127 hectares of ex-farm land, including planting some of the 28 different species of tree chosen to transform the landscape as well as improving biodiversity and quality of soil, air, and water within Oxfordshire.
