A high profile campaign supporting the launch of the “Super Six” brassware range has come to an end after 13 weeks of promotional activity.
The campaign, which ran from July until the end of October, included trade advertising and point of sale, as well as a major radio advertising campaign with a commercial voiced by comedian David Mitchell.
It also featured a tour of independent merchants with our Little Van of Big Ideas and the “Big Turn On” competition, which challenged installers and others to turn one of our taps on and off as many times as they could in 15 seconds.
The van travelled over 3,000 miles and visited 61 trade counters over 13 weeks with the competition. More than 550 installers took part and the taps were turned on and off nearly 50,000 times.

Here’s a video summary of the van’s tour.

Senior Channel Marketing Manager Olivia Maycock said: “This campaign was all about launching our new brassware range to market and building our brand within independent merchants to bathroom installers.
“One of the great things about it was getting out on the road and visiting our customers – the feedback was great, with both installers and branch staff getting competitive and taking part in the Big Turn On.
“While we were promoting the Super Six through trade and radio advertising, we were also meeting installers and merchants, and getting their opinions on the taps, which were really positive!”

Installer-2-640-x-490The winner of the Big Turn On competition was Carl Grantham, a builder from Newmarket who turned a tap on and off an incredible 154 times in 15 seconds.
Carl chose a trip to New York as his prize. He played the game on 20 September at the Ridgeons Newmarket branch.
