New artwork boards have been installed at the entrance to the Armitage plant to commemorate the heritage of the facility.
The boards were a creative idea that came out of the News Street Project Group where colleagues were looking at ways of gathering the history of the plant as a focal point for the interest of employees and visitors alike.
Dave Black, Dave Freeman and Suzanne Kelly collected old photos from colleagues who have previously or currently work in the plant with a view to creating an Ideal Standard–Armitage Shanks memory lane collage board.
Suzanne said: “It really does add a real emphasis on the plant entrance and the feedback has been very positive with lots of interest from current colleagues and visitors.
“They look lovely and are generating some real interest from people looking at the history of the plant with lots of memories of past colleagues.”
