Ideal Standard have secured the complete sanitaryware package for the £100m ‘Interchange’ scheme at Central Square in the centre of Cardiff.
The project includes 100,000 square feet of new grade A office space rising to six storeys and a new bus station with 14 stands within a concourse area of more than 10,000 square feet.
Key Account Manager Richard Jones has been working closely with Tom Borley of CMB Engineering, who are the mechanical and electrical contractor, to secure the complete sanitaryware order. CMB are working for the lead contractor, ISG.
Richard said: “The final design element for the sanitaryware was in the CMB package, and so over the last eighteen months I’ve been working closely with CMB to secure the complete specification and ultimately the order.
“It’s great to get this one over the line, which is the latest in many projects we have worked on with CMB in the South Wales area over the past 25 years.”
These projects include the Millennium Stadium, the Cardiff City and Swansea City football stadiums, along with all of the office developments in the central business area of Wood Street in Central Cardiff.
The Interchange project is worth £165k to the business and will be supplied via PTS in Cardiff.
