Installers visiting Bassetts plumbers’ merchant have been practising their aim at the toilet in a tongue-in-cheek rugby-themed promotion.
The Northern Ireland company, which has 15 trade counters in the country, teamed up with Ideal Standard to run “Bassetts Bog Ball”, where installers were invited to try to chip a ball into a toilet pan.
Successful punters were given free Ideal Standard or Bassetts merchandise and were entered into a prize draw to win an Ireland rugby shirt.
The promotion has been running for the duration of the Rugby World Cup, which is taking place in Japan, but is coming to an end today (Friday) after the Irish team were knocked out by New Zealand on the weekend.

Gerard Crane, Key Accounts Manager Northern Ireland, said: “Bassetts is one of our key trading partners in Northern Ireland and we were delighted to team up with them for this promotion.
“Installers like a laugh and they love their rugby, so this was a fun way to engage with them while our run in the World Cup lasted.”
