Ideal Standard UK’s exceptional safety record has earned one of the highest accolades from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).
The company is to receive the Order of Distinction for the first time after meeting RoSPA’s high standards of health and safety performance for the 15th consecutive year.
It will be presented at the 2019 RoSPA Health and Safety Awards on 6 June at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel.
Health, Safety and Environment Manager Georgina Salt said: “We are very proud to join the select group of companies to receive the Order of Distinction Award for our consistently high standards of health and safety in the workplace.
“Our people are incredibly important to us and we strongly believe that people should be and feel safe while they are working.
“That’s why we adhere to company standards and procedures which go beyond legislation within our factories to ensure our teams are operating as safely as possible throughout the manufacturing process.”
The RoSPA awards scheme is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas.
Each year, Ideal Standard UK provides a detailed submission which addresses questions across our occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement. The awards are now in their 63rd year.
