A large order for a major hospital development in Wales has now been confirmed, with a value of £330,000 to the business.
The Non-Residential team secured the specification of the new Contour 21 basins plus toilets, seats and cisterns taken from competitor and the stainless steel items, all at the Grange University Hospital Specialist Critical Care Centre (SCCC) in Cwmbran.
This initial order represents the first element of an overall specification worth £450,000 and a second major hospital win this year with multinational construction company Laing O’Rourke.

Non-Residential Channel Director Tim Chappell said: “The SCCC is an excellent win for us. It was disappointing not to win the full spec but, on the other hand, this is the second recent win with Laing O’Rourke.
“They normally use Sanitec or Twyfords products and are in the top ten biggest construction companies in the UK so there’s a lot of potential there.”

The other recent healthcare win with Laing O’Rourke was the teaching trauma and tertiary care centre – known as “3Ts”- at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton, which is also worth £450,000.
