A new Ideal Standard specification centre and showroom is to open in the spring in the heart of London’s architects district.
The contract for the 4,200 sq ft property, which was previously occupied by fashion designer Alexander McQueen, has been signed and handover is expected in early December.
With four floors – an upper mezzanine, lower mezzanine, ground floor and lower ground floor – the property occupies a prime position on Clerkenwell Road, near Kohler, Duravit and Hansgrohe showrooms. The target opening date is 1 March.
The specification centre and showroom will showcase hundreds of our latest products and innovations and will provide inspiration, information and space to research, as well as assistance from our experienced team of designers.

Showroom-2UK Marketing Director Katie Cope said: “This is a really exciting development for the UK business and will be a real asset, especially for our specification strategy.
“There is a lot of work to do in early 2019 to ensure it’s open by the spring but we are determined to offer a showroom and specification support experience that is superior to our competitors.”

The new showroom is approximately 1,200 sq ft larger than its predecessor, The Bathroom, which closed earlier this year as a new property in a better location was sought.
