A recent deal with regional housebuilder Harron Homes represents an excellent taking share win over Roca.
Ideal Standard had initially been specified for basins and WCs in 200 of 1,000 new homes across more than 30 developments, with Roca taking the rest.
However, constant plugging away by Key Account Manager Steve Forbes, working with Kevin Kelly at James Hargreaves plumbers’ merchant, meant Ideal Standard took the full 1,000.
It also meant the original 200 homes were upsold from Concept to Concept Air (comparison for client pictured above) and the Roca Gap range moved to our Tempo basin and pedestal and Tesi bath.
Steve said: “This has been over a year in the making and there have been many hurdles along the way.
“It has been a joint effort between ourselves and James Hargreaves but by plugging away over time our persistence has paid off.”
The Ireland team has been successful in securing the win for a development in the heritage village of Johnstown, Co Kildare.
The specification was won through direct contact with builder Spring Construction who are carrying out the development on behalf of Ardstone Capital Investments, one of Ireland’s leading house building investment companies.
Named Furness Wood, the development features a first phase of 47 three, four and five bed houses, with a subsequent second phase of 53 houses.
The specification includes main bathroom with Tempo baths and WCs and Concept Air vanity basins and units, and Tempo throughout the en suite and downstairs cloakroom (above).
Martin O’Reilly, Country Manager – Republic of Ireland, said: “This is a very good example of a project win coming through direct contact with the builder, following tracking through the CRM system.”
