A cradle-to-grave approach helped retain the Armitage Shanks specification on a hospital redevelopment, despite attempts to introduce other brands.
Springfield Hospital in Tooting, South London, is a project worth £160,000 to the business and which had our products specified from the original specification in 2017.
Key Account Manager Darren Fisher worked with mechanical and electrical contractor SES to ensure Armitage Shanks kept the specification, despite the threat of using other brands when savings needed to be made.
Darren said: “This was a case of a cradle to grave approach paying dividends. We were involved with the specification from the start.
"As we neared the start of the project, savings needed to be made and other manufacturers were considered but regular contact with SES and making sure we knew what was going on at every stage ensured we kept the spec.”
The specification include Contour pans and basins, stainless steel cleaner’s sink and nearly 140 Markwik taps.
