A reminder has been issued about our approach as we enter the final stages of lifting Covid restrictions.
We are committed to ensure that people begin to return to work as soon as possible but we must ensure that we provide a workplace that is safe and where any risks of catching or transmitting Covid are reduced to an absolute minimum.
We previously confirmed that we would delay the phased return to office working until the end of the school holidays and therefore we will begin to issue further guidance along with an update on Flexible Working in the next few weeks.
Key points:
• Covid is still an issue for us all. Many thousands of new infections are still being reported in the media each day, therefore all our internal Covid protocols will remain in place during August.
• We encourage people to continue to work from home where possible, individual circumstances dependent, if in doubt discuss with your line manager.
• Staff can return to work where required but we need to respect the capacity restrictions.
• In many cases IT kit will need to be reinstalled to the office environment. We will need to phase returns so that the IT team can cope with this.
• Car parking will need to revert to the pre-Covid set up. For example, visitor and disabled spaces to be kept clear.
