Black Friday and Cyber Monday saw Ideal Standard products selling at several times their average rate in our first significant involvement with these huge promotional events.
Our partnership with the online bathroom retailer VictoriaPlum.com, which launched in the spring, meant that we were directly involved in the website’s advertising efforts this year.
Ideal Standard products sold at seven times their typical Friday rate on Black Friday and five times their Monday average on Cyber Monday, thanks to a discount of an additional 20%.

Business Development Director Neil Bills said: “This has been really interesting for us as it’s the first online data we have from two of the busiest shopping days of the year.
“It sets a benchmark for us to set future performance against and to learn from as we gain more experience of internet retail.”

The Black Friday and Cyber Monday events followed on from a number of joint initiatives with VictoriaPlum.com, including a discount sale in the autumn and the creation of content for the site’s “inspiration” pages, where products are promoted through blogs and other methods.
