Ideal Standard has beaten thousands of others to be named “Most Downloaded Brand” for the second time in four years at the recent 2020 BIMobject Awards.
The award was presented to Ana Martin-Alvarez, our European BIM Manager who is based at Armitage, after Ideal Standard came out top of a shortlist which included our competitor Roca. We had previously won the same award in 2017.
BIM (Building Information Modelling) is the technology that underpins the digitalisation of the construction industry and has been a key focus for Ideal Standard for a number of years.
BIM allows architects to create a “digital twin” of a building using files called BIM objects which contain detailed product information such as dimensions and performance data.
The efficiency and cost-saving benefits BIM brings to the construction industry means architects, engineers and construction professionals are increasingly using it in their projects.
BIMobject.com is one of the largest platforms for BIM files, hosting over a thousand brands including leading international names from the world of construction.
