The Atelier Collections were launched to the architecture and design community on Tuesday in an online RIBA Journal event attended by more than 400 people.
Hosted by Isabelle Priest, Managing Editor of the RIBA Journal, the webinar saw expert architects and interior designers discussing the impact interior environments have on wellbeing.
This included the latest trends in bathroom design, bathrooms as retreats and the returning use of colour.
Architects and designers are crucial to the success of Atelier Collections as they are hugely influential in developers’ choices of bathroom products and trends.
The webinar kicked off with a talk by designer Adam Nathaniel Furman on the use of colour in design, followed by a live interview by Isabelle Priest with Roberto Palomba, Ideal Standard’s Chief Design Officer and creator of The Atelier Collections.
Roberto then took part in a panel discussion entitled Tomorrow’s Bathrooms alongside Nicolo Stassano from Studio Stassano, Russell Whitehead and Jordan Cluroe from 2LG Studio, and Andrew Stembridge, Executive Director for Iconic Luxury Hotels.
Isabelle said: “Over 400 people registered for the RIBAJ and Ideal Standard Tomorrow’s Bathrooms event and we had a really interesting line up of speakers and panellists attend that each added their own perspective on what’s happening and to come in bathroom design.
“We also had lots of questions from the audience and positive feedback from our panellists and their social media followers.
“Particularly interesting were Roberto Palomba’s insight into sustainability and the new Atelier Collections, tips from 2LG Studio on what colour they like to use in bathrooms at the moment and Andrew Stembridge speaking about lighting and layering in hotel bathroom design, as well as Adam Nathaniel Furman on using matt and gloss.”
