Proactive lead chasing and a case of mistaken identity have led to a full specification taking share win with a growing regional housebuilder.
Internal Sales Executive Joe Hartshorne followed up an email intended for Ideal Boilers which outlined a specification including Roca, Vado, Just Trays, Bristan and Merlyn, with no option for alternatives.
He arranged a meeting for Specification Manager Ian Smith with Gade Homes’ Head of Commercial, Jamie Hillman, with the result that Ideal Standard is now sole bathroom manufacturer for the developer.

Ian said: “This is a brilliant result for us and really highlights the instrumental work that the internal sales team at Armitage deliver by carrying out quality reviews with attention to detail and tenacity. Joe did a fantastic job chasing up an email that wasn’t even intended for our business!
"Reviews of projects are a hot bed of potential leads and new information about projects and developers.
"Work like this by the internal sales team makes a massive impact on our sales and makes the job of the external sales team so much easier."

Gade Homes are a quality regional housebuilder with a further 11 projects in various stages of planning, and they are continuing to buy land around the Berkhampstead area.
They are upscaling their business and aim to be building 250 to 300 quality houses per annum by 2027.
The initial project, which includes i.life, Calista and Connect Air, is under way and is being supplied through Gibbs & Dandy in Luton.
