The latest in a series of high rise projects in Manchester has seen a win worth £273,000 to the business.
Greengate Bankside is a development consisting of 444 apartments over 43 storeys in the centre of the city, led by developer Renaker, with whom Ideal Standard previously worked on the huge Crown Street Development.
Peter Tonge, Key Account Manager – High Rise and Hotel Channel, has worked on securing the specification alongside the contractor, MWA Ecosystems, since November 2021. The order has now been confirmed through Riverside Plumbing Supplies.
This included increasing our product share with the addition of Sandringham steel baths, black bath screens and black sliding doors in addition to the Strada basins and semi-pedestals and Tesi wall hung pans in the original specification.
Peter said: “Working closely with Chris Barley [Product Manager], we had to supply the basins with a white waste instead of the usual chrome that comes as standard on the Strada range, which added another hurdle we had to get over.
“Once the order was received into our Hull Independents team for the value of £273,000, we had to ensure that all goods were available as per the customer call off schedule.”
He added: “Abbey Rimmington who looks after the Riverside Plumbing Supplies account within the Independents team has worked tirelessly to ensure all the deliveries are delivered on time and in full and also keeps in contact with the merchant regarding any issues we or they have so we have no surprises come delivery time.
“All in all it has been a complete team effort to get the order over the line and supply as per the client’s requirements.”
