Popular BBC show DIY SOS, presented by Nick Knowles, hit our screens over the Christmas period featuring products from Ideal Standard and Armitage Shanks.
The project involved transforming a field in Beverley, East Yorkshire, into a new home for the Cherry Tree Youth Club.

The club was launched in 2016 but since the Covid lockdowns had not had a permanent home and had to meet in a gazebo in the local park.
This was far from ideal, as many vulnerable and disadvantaged youngsters are helped by the club and a safe, inviting place was paramount.
As ever with DIY SOS, the build involved hundreds of volunteers from all trade backgrounds.

We contacted the show to offer products back in April 2025 with the build taking place later in May.
Mike Smelt, UK product manager for Armitage Shanks sanitaryware, was in regular contact with the producers and met on site to discuss their needs.
He said: “The requirement was for a disabled washroom and male and female facilities.
“We delivered a Monaco Doc M pack and i.life A products to site. Brian Capon, head of our service engineer team, also visited the site to help with some technical issues on the build.”

The build was completed in just 17 days and resulted in a vibrant, safe space for young people to meet and benefit from the facilities available at the HUB.
