Tell us a bit about yourself
When I am not working you will more than likely find me walking in the Cheshire countryside with my fiancée Charlotte and my mini Jack Russell Ollie. Sometimes I may be on my own running as well.
During lockdown I got into running massively and worked my way up to completing the Manchester Marathon in October 2021. Since then, I have slowed a bit but this month I am looking to complete 5K everyday to get back into it in 2023. It’s a really great way to keep my mental health on track and keep fit!
My fiancée Charlotte is French, and I am a massive francophile, so we spend all the time we can in France eating cheese, drinking wine and hiking with her family. We drove over with the dog for the first time this Christmas and had a great road trip to see Charlotte’s family!
When we are not traveling or working, we do love nothing more though than sitting on the sofa and watching a good film or box set! (Usually with a pizza and a G+T…)
Describe your job to a five-year-old
I sell toilets to people who sell toilets to plumbers.
What do you like most about your job?
I like the variation in my job the most. As an account manager, one day I can be working on some marketing activity for the showroom, the next I can be out on the road in front of regional managers through to solving a supply chain challenge!
How did you get here?
I have worked at Ideal Standard for nearly four years. I finished university after my sport science degree at the University of Central Lancashire and went straight into a retail job at Decathlon where I spent six years working my way up to store manager. I moved around the UK in these roles, living in Coventry, Nottingham and Watford before opening a store in Manchester.
After two short periods in recruitment and selling kitchens in my local Homebase following a career change, I found the job here with Ideal Standard and haven’t looked back!
What motivates you?
I am always motivated by customer service and doing the best for our customers. It has been instilled in me from my retail days!

I have driven to a customer’s office once before for a meeting only to realise it was a Teams call . . .
